Content and Social Media Specialist (English native speaker)

TRANSLATED is a fast-growing, award-winning online translation company providing professional translation services to more than 80,000 customers worldwide, from innovative start-ups to multinationals (Google, HP, European Commission, WHO, and many others).

At our Rome headquarter, we are currently looking for an English native creative thinker with excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, and a good knowledge of online marketing techniques and best practices.

The Content and Social Media Specialist will assist in growing the company online presence by engaging in web content authoring and other web marketing activities. We have a powerful, authoritative web domain and we are ready to take even further. This job will include regular blogging, writing and providing content updates to the company website and social media profiles. The right candidate will jump in to help drive traffic and leads and further build the Translated brand and a range of leading products (MateCat, MyMemory).

Social media marketing efforts include updating our Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn presences, creating, writing, launching and tracking content marketing initiatives and continually driving improved results. 

SEO experience is not essential but, as a digital company, we expect a strong interest in Internet-related business. We are looking for a proactive and motivated person with endless enthusiasm. A confident and outgoing nature as well as strong organizational skills would be preferred.

All candidates will be judged on their writing skills and attention to detail (we love that here). Duties and Responsibilities

  • Regular blogging and guest post blogging
  • Providing updates to company website
  • Updating our Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn social media profiles
  • Executing various inbound marketing activities such as SEO, link building and link outreach
  • Producing in-depth whitepapers on various subject matters
  • Brainstorming and developing creative content designed to attract links and new readers as well as drive qualified leads
  • Monitoring brand mentions and reputation
  • Participating in various public relations activities, including writing press releases and media outreach
  • Monitoring performance metrics to understand organic search performance across multiple global markets and measure the impact of changes
  • Execution of weekly and monthly reporting across marketing programs

Required Skills

  • English native speaker or excellent written skills in English. Knowledge of additional languages will be considered a plus
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver results
  • Work as a team player whilst being able to work on set individual performance goals and KPIs
  • Ability to liaise with other teams to ensure content marketing underpins all parts of the process
  • Proactive approach to workload and constantly thinking up new ideas
  • Knowledge of SEO and other online marketing disciplines (preferred but not essential)
  • Knowledge of the translation industry market and translation technology (preferred but not essential)
