We are looking for a Grants Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a brilliant and passionate professional with 2-3 years' experience who can effectively manage all reporting, organisational and administrative activities related to grants.

What You’ll Do 

  • Provide expert support to the research team in navigating financing rules and evaluating proposals.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to implement new procedures to facilitate and optimize reports on funded proposals.
  • Ensure financial accuracy and compliance by coordinating with the Finance team and adhering to financial regulations.
  • Prepare, verify, and manage supporting documentation for funded activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Organize and oversee administrative and accounting records, maintaining a structured and efficient archive.
  • Develop detailed technical-financial reports, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and regulations.
  • Enter and manage financial data within dedicated platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with national and international partners, facilitating smooth collaboration.
  • Draft and refine contractual and project documents, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Create and verify models and timesheets, optimizing project tracking and reporting.
  • Oversee order management and contractual matters, aligning with internal policies and project guidelines.
  • Support financial audits, ensuring transparency and adherence to regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in accounting of national and European funded projects (e.g., Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe).
  • 3 years of experience in the technical and administrative management of European projects within corporate or non-profit settings, handling projects with a minimum budget of €10 million in grants.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in economics or accounting.
  • Experience in an accounting or finance role, or within an audit firm (specifically with one of the Big Four Audit Firm).
  • Proficiency in portals of the European Union, MePa, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace suite.
  • Punctuality, precision, responsibility, and confidentiality.
  • Organizational skills and ability to work towards objectives.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently.
  • Proactiveness, practicality, and problem-solving attitude.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative-accounting skills.
  • Experience working in international settings.
  • Master's/Course in European research project management and/or collaborative financed projects management.

We offer: full-time contract. This position requires daily in-office presence, so we are unable to accommodate fully remote work. However, we value flexibility and offer the opportunity to work up to 48 days remotely per year, allowing for a balanced and adaptable work experience.
