We’re looking for a passionate Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and Typescript to join our fast-paced and innovative engineering team. 

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems to allow an easy and smooth integration of enterprise-grade customers in our translation workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure integration connectors, mainly, using Typescript and NodeJs.
• Build and maintain an architecture of technology assets to serve the common task without duplication
• Build high-quality reusable and modular code with a test-oriented approach.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Optimization of the applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of product owners, designers, developers, and system administrators.
• Collect technical requirements and collaborate with the customers engineering teams
• Blend tech solutions that integrate humans in the loop with AI for translation. 
• Mentor other developers in the team and act as an evangelist of software excellence among the entire engineering organization

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or SW Engineering courses.
• 5+ years of working experience in SW development teams.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining scalable applications (millions of requests).
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and server-side development.
• Deep Knowledge of Typescript, and NodeJS (minimum 4 years involved in non-trivial projects)
• Very good knowledge of the REST paradigm in Web APIs
• Very good knowledge of containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Docker Swarm or Kubernetes)
• Experience with Relational DBMS ( MySQL )
• Experience with Git version control system and GitHub code review workflow (Pull Requests)
• Experience with NoSQL DBMS ( Redis, ElasticSearch )
• Experience with queues technologies (SQS, RabbitMQ, BullMQ )
• Proactive, self-driven, and enjoys solving complex problems, not just in the primary area of responsibility but across boundaries.
• Very good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, is a must
